Recruiting and Developing the Right Board for Your Organization
There’s hard truth in the adage “An organization is only as good as
its board.” But it’s a truth all nonprofits have to act upon. This
workshop will walk participants through topics such as the board’s
role in an organization’s success, board composition and attracting
and retaining board members who will help fuel the organization’s
mission and gladly take on the role of community ambassadors.

Tapping Volunteer Time, Talent and Loyalty
Volunteers can make all the difference in our organizations. They
often serve as our eyes and feet out in the community and are essential
in breathing life into our programs and services. But is your organization
taking advantage of all the resources volunteers can and probably
want to provide? Attend this workshop to learn how volunteers can
help take organizations to another level, how to mine volunteer skills
and how to foster the transformation of the volunteer to the advocate.

models, but it’s easy to get on board when you discover what a powerful
tool they can be. This workshop is designed to review the basic elements
of the logic model, important concepts such as the difference between
goals and outcomes, how to use the logic model to plan evaluation,

of American culture. Attend this workshop to learn the essentials
of designing a program that is efficient, effective and satisfies
clients. Discussion will cover topics such as steps to program design

Creating Collaborations That are More than Just a Nice Idea
There’s a buzz these days about the importance of collaboration and
strategic alliances. Funders like it. It helps eliminate redundancy.
It promotes efficient use of limited resources. But too often our
collaborative groups seem like a place where lots of good ideas are
discussed but little is done to act upon those ideas. This workshop
is designed to build participants’ understanding of the importance
of collaboration, collaboration in fund development and moving beyond
collaborative vision to a powerhouse of results.
